Social support coping strategies are aimed at finding psychological and emotional resources in the social environment to cope with difficult, stressful situations. The level of subjective control or perceived control depends on how much control a person has over various social events. This paper presents the results of a study of socially oriented coping strategies, emotional and instrumental social support, with external and internal locus of control. The study revealed lower levels of perceived social support among externals than among internals.
The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between the consistency of company managers' ideas about priority organizational goals and their locus of control. The sample consisted of 72 senior managers of a Russian company. The complex of psychodiagnostic techniques consisted of: the locus of control test Rotter 1966. Questionnaire on the level of subjective control (USC) 1993 Bazhina E.F., the technique of color metaphors to identify hidden motivation Solomin I.L., essay on «My company. The goals of my company.» The results indicate that there is no relationship between the consistency of managers' perceptions of organizational goals and their locus of control.
