The paper assesses the quality of fire-resistant fabrics for special clothing welders, describes new and improved existing methods for determining fire resistance and tissue resistance to sparks and molten metal splashes. The results of the tests give expert evaluation of the suitability of investigated fabrics for clothing welders.

The paper studies the mechanical properties of fabrics from Rusar threads in dry and wet condition, as well as the number of layers. The authors describe methods for determining the puncture resistance, cutting and punching, defined breaking load and elongation at break, resistance to puncturing, cutting and punching fabric from Rusar threads, when tested in one and several layers of dry and wet.

The paper studies the effect of high and low temperatures on the mechanical properties of fabrics, produced from Rusar threads. The mathematical models can predict the mechanical properties, depending on the duration of exposure to temperature and its size.
The features of the stress state, physical-mechanical and structural properties of welded joints of structural steels 09G2S and St3sp, made at low climatic temperatures, are studied. Welded samples were obtained by manual arc welding using domestic electrodes UONI-13/MOROZ, HOBEKS-K-54, LB 52TRU. During the research, pulsed arc welding was tested in comparison with the traditional method of direct current welding. When welding in the cold, an increase in the level of tensile residual welding stresses by an average of 40 ... 50% is observed compared with welding at room temperature. Features of the structure and mechanical properties during welding at negative temperatures are revealed.
