This work is devoted to the use of a systematic approach in the consideration of pedagogical phenomena and the formation of engineering thinking of a modern pilot. It is shown that one of the main approaches to pilot training is a systematic approach. The concept of «pedagogical system»is analyzed.

It is shown that the use of technologies in the training of cadets of military aviation universities that combine a set of performed actions, their speech accompaniment, control of the time of execution of the algorithm of operations, the creation of a stable mnemonic connection and the formation of a mental representation of all instructions performed by the pilot with a reaction speed not lower than required, will allow the formation of professional flight skills of cadets with the required quality.
