Major emergencies reflect a country's modern governance capabilities. National character is the general psychological characteristic of a nation. In the face of major emergencies, different countries have adopted different policies and measures. To a certain extent, they are all influenced by the national character of their nation. The COVID-19 outbreak has exposed enormous risks and challenges in the non-traditional security aspects of the Belt and Road Initiative. As an important country involved in the construction of the Belt and Road, Russia's actions to combat the new corona epidemic have brought us a lot of inspiration and reflection on how to promote the high-quality development of the con-struction of the Belt and Road. and build a public health community for humanity. This arti-cle carries out an in-depth study of Russia's national character, reveals the deep core of its anti-epidemic policies and measures, and analyzes this situation, provides background information for my country and other countries along the Belt and Road in the face of major emergencies, strengthening the national spirit and giving the importance of building a system of foreign discourse.
The article analyses the results of the linguocultural survey held in 2023 at the Institute of Foreign Languages and looks at ways which contribute to improving socio-cultural competence through teaching English.
The author considers cultural reform in favor of domestic culture against the background of the traditions of business communication of various nations and languages to be the goal of teaching the discipline «Russian language and the basics of business communication» at the university. Classes are planned by the author as lessons in linguoculture. A parametric description of Russian communicative behavior gives students the concept of «Russianism», about the national-cultural originality of the nation. The achievement of the super task of training is facilitated by the identification of the relationship of office with the national character. Compared to the domestic analogue, Western and Southeast Asian office styles are exposed.
The present study is devoted to a linguoculturological comparison of the dichotomy «individualism – conciliarity» based on the phraseological corpus of the Russian and English languages. It has been revealed that stable paremiological units function as concentrated models of ethnic worldview, fixing historically conditioned axiological priorities. Using proverbs and idioms, it is demonstrated that the Anglophone tradition is dominated by the cult of personal autonomy, self-sufficiency, and the inviolability of private space, whereas the Russian linguistic worldview represents ideas of spiritual community, mutual support, and the subordination of personal interests to collective ones. Particular attention is paid to how linguistic opposites serve as a tool for intercultural dialogue, allowing the decoding of deep mental attitudes and minimizing communication barriers in the context of globalization.
