The paper analyzes a conflict between technological development and operational efficiency, the role of small and medium business in restoration of economic growth. It reviews conditions, that ensure development of new technologies, as well as conditions, which are necessary for efficient production establishment in terms of development strategy, scale of production, investments and economic and geographical position.

This methodology helps to identify processes and products that form the main profit and core competencies that provide competitive advantages to the company. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses, the company becomes much more stable during the crisis.
