The article deals with the actual problem of fostering spiritual and moral values in senior preschool age children by means of Orthodox holidays; the educational potential is revealed on the examples of some Orthodox holidays. The authors determine the pedagogical conditions necessary for carrying out this work in a preschool educational institution. They emphasize that all subjects of the educational environment should be involved in the process of fostering spiritual and moral values in senior preschool age children.
