the article presents the results of theoretical analysis of the concepts of attitudes and personal maturity in modern psychological science. Approaches to the study of parental attitudes and their structure by different authors are presented. Criteria of personal maturity and their influence on personal development of the child are analyzed.

The Article is devoted to the problem of features of personal maturity in adolescence. The main age-psychological features of adolescent children are considered, the term «personal maturity» is analyzed, its main functions and significance in the process of personal development are highlighted.
