Keyword: «precedent-based names.»

This article examines the main means of expression in modern Russian, related to the lexical level of language. Their functioning in speech practice is described. It is revealed that speakers of modern Russian most frequently resort to lexical means of linguistic expression such as jargon, argot, dialecticisms, stylistically marked vocabulary (both high and, conversely, swear words), and precedent-based names.
