The study aims to examine the problem of expression traits Russian national character. The paper clarifies the essence of the concept of national character, highlighted the positive and negative aspects of Russian national character and their influence on professionally important personal qualities. In addition, the paper presents the interim results of the pilot study manifestation of Russian national character traits in typical sit-uations of student life.
