This article is devoted to the analysis of words from American slang denoting professions. Its aim is to describe major groups of professions mentioned in the pointed out substandard vocabulary, to characterize the attitude of modern American society representatives to such occupations, to comment on some semantic and structural features of the above mentioned vocabulary.

This multimedia project is aimed at increasing knowledge about professions among preschoolers and creating a favorable environment for their development.
