The article is devoted to studying of psychological safety of the educational environment of students with disabilities, examines its relationship with the process of adaptation. Systematized characteristics signs of change in the educational environment in the transition to fifth grade: the uncertainty perceptions of teachers' requirements, characteristics and conditions of training, the values and norms of behavior in class team; an increase in the teaching load, the increased volume of academic work as classroom and at home; the increased pace of work in the classroom and the need to quickly outline the training material; new types of learning activities and new requirements, which are often mismatched with different subject teachers; the formation of their own self-concept; formation of a new style of communication with teachers; difference methods of teaching subject teachers; possible difference between the requirements of subject teachers; lack of systematic monitoring; the need to establish new interpersonal relationships with the teachers and the class teacher; the need to establish meaningful interpersonal relationships with classmates; change of status in relation to other students: fifth-graders in primary school are the smallest, so that they may have problems with high school students; the need for the development of school space and the rules of conduct in it.
