This article substantiates the relevance of creating an online course as one of the innovative forms of distance learning. Questions of classification of online courses are discussed,as well as an explanation of their great popularity. At the legislative level, the need to create online courses is justified. Various approaches to the organization of knowledge control during distance learning are described.

This article presents the results of approbation of training sessions within the framework of the course "Modern teaching methods" in the format of distance learning for 5th year students of the direction of training "Pedagogical education (with two training profiles)". Also, the analysis of the effectiveness of the training session on the topic "Design Technologies" on the teachers of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 24" was carried out.

The article examines the influence of simulator training on the training of a military pilot in modern conditions in a higher educational institution.
