The article considers the problem of children's adaptation to school education in the context of value orientations set in the conditions of creative cooperation between the family and the school. The description of the project of the family workshop «Farvatoria Initiatives», based on the joint creative activity of subjects of the educational process (parents, children, teachers) is presented.

The role of the teaching staff and school administration in creating conditions aimed at protecting students’ life and health, preventing risks and forming a culture of safe behavior is substantiated. Special attention is paid to psychological and pedagogical conditions for forming a safe educational environment and preventing destructive behavior among schoolchildren.
