The article raises a range of issues related to professional social teacher in school. First, based on the analysis of regulatory documents the importance of the social teacher substantiated for modern schools. Second, the professional characteristicsof social teacher, in particular, professional mentality as an integrative characteristic profession defined.
The article discusses the influence of mass media on the socialization of adolescents. Analyzing the variety of approaches to determining the essence of these processes from the point of view of social pedagogy, it can be concluded that education aimed at social development leads to socialization and cybersocialization in its broad meaning and is its main pedagogical factor.
The article examines the methodology of interpretation of the concept of "social policy", confirms the importance of social policy as a factor determining the content and focus of professional training of specialists in the social sphere, and also provides the results of a comparative analysis of Chinese and Russian social practices.
