The article describes methods of vocational guidance work at the university with the involvement of secondary schools students. The author suggests some approaches to acquaintance of schoolchildren with building specialties. He considers the ways of schoolchildren involvement in cooperation with first and second year students in public presentations with reports at the annual student scientific-practical conference.

In this study, attention is paid to the career guidance of students at the stage of study at the SSMU in three regions of Bryansk, Smolensk and Kaliningrad. We found out what is worth paying attention to in order to attract future doctors to work in their regions.
