The article is devoted to the formation of universal and professional competencies of university students, their interaction in the process of foreign language education. The author examines the use of various forms of organizing foreign language classes in order to increase the efficiency of the process of teaching a foreign language, as well as such a form of assessing the level of formation of the necessary competencies as a start-up in foreign language education.
