The article considers the problems of organizing students’ practically-oriented training in the field of teaching foreign languages. Some aspects of realizing academic awareness practice of Bachelor’s programme students and project-technological practice of Master’s programme students are discussed. The experience of realizing these types of practice at the Institute of History, Philosophy and Political Studies of Ryazan State University named for S. Yessenin is given as an example.
The article analyzes professional competences (information-communicative) and functions (research and educational) of a modern university teacher, their mission regarding students, scientific community and the role in the local community. The article describes students’ and teacher’s cooperation in organizing thematic video flashmobs “Teacher, let me remember your name”, “Family Teacher Dynasty”. Attracting future teachers’ attention to the personality and activities, performed by teachers, appreciating their contribution to raising the young generation and the teacher’s role in transmitting not only knowledge, but human values, in forming the stu-dent’s personality – these are the instruments of impact on the students and forms of educational coopera-tion, implementing the task of forming a future professional in the sphere of education.
The article describes the experience of organizing professional contests and projects for students in pedagogical education departments and analyzes the influence of participating in such contests on forming the professional competence in education sphere. Professional contests and projects are the instrument of impact on the development of students’ professional skills and a way of forming motivation to the profes-sion of a teacher.
