This article discusses not only the relationship of indicators of pedagogical skills, namely communication, organizational, interpersonal with verbal and nonverbal indicators of creative imagination, but their general and specific trends in the development of the students of pedagogical high school.

The results of the diagnostic study the level of development of pedagogical abilities at the beginning of sports coaches. We characterize groups of pedagogical abilities, describe their behavioral manifestations, presents methods for assessing the level of development. Indicators diagnosed in young sports teachers, are associated with the same characteristics of experienced coaches.
