The article considers the criteria for the selection and organization of the content of teaching, the requirements for educational and methodological support in teaching a second foreign language (on the example of German). The structure of the educational and methodological complex for the second foreign language is described. Recommendations for teaching grammar to foreign language teachers are given.
The article deals with the problem of ensuring the effectiveness and quality of teaching a foreign language, taking into account the individual psychological characteristics and axiological potential of modern youth. It is noted that the teaching staff of the university should rely on the life and professional tasks facing students and create conditions for their transfer to educational purposes. In addition, the language material should be selected taking into account the stimulation of interest, the development of mental activity and creative potential of the individual.
