The paper views the role and value of expectations in the human life. The expectation phenomenon is investigated by the method of mathematical psychology. The concept ‘voltage of expectation’ is introduced. The mathematical model of expectation is constructed and analysed. It is shown that voltage of expectation is a decreasing function of time. Character of expectation voltage can change due to the obtained information.

The paper deals with the concept of emotion accompanied by expectation. This phenomenon got the name ‘emotion of expectation’. The concept ‘intensity of emotion of expectation’ is introduced. The intensity of emotion of expectation is connected with time. It is shown that it is the decreasing function of time. Emotion of expectation is connected with feeling. This emotion can be the basic element of feeling.

This article deals with the psychological time origins researching. In this regard the points of view of Augustine, Platon and Aristotle will be given. Kant's position according to which time has the ability to accelerate and slow down, which is directly related to the variety and monotony of life, will also be analyzed, as well as the concept of Jean-Marie Guyot about the connection of psychological time with spatial representations. The concept of Dilthey's time dealing with past and future relation through the present will be also viewed. Separately, we will point out three tendencies of personal development identified by Buhler and Kurt Levin's psychological time interpretation through his concept of field.
