The article presents an analysis of the main problems of the labor markets of the regions of our country at the present stage (one way or another related to the crisis phenomena in the economy), clearly affecting the social well-being of economically active citizens. Specific measures implemented by the employment service to promote the employment of released workers are proposed, as well as a reasonable description of additional anti-crisis measures to reduce tension in the labor market is given.

The author analyzed the operational measures taken by the Government of the Russian Federation to support key sectors and spheres of the economy, a separate package of measures was aimed at preserving the incomes and employment of citizens.
