The article deals with inflation analysis and the key factors that have an impact on it, on the example of Russian regions. The authors tried to explore the relationship of inflation and unemployment in the short and long terms with the help of Phillips curve. The dynamics of per capita income, as one of the most important indicators of economic development of the region are considered. The obtained data are compared with the analysis of the opinion of specialists of the employment center on employment and unemployment among pre-retirees. Recommendations are proposed to help solve the problems of unemployment and employment of persons of pre-retirement age through the help of employment centers.
