In annotated the article the point of view of a literary critic Kozhinova V. to the question about the origins of the formation and peculiarities of Russian national consciousness, the basic ideas of which reflects the core essence of Russian classical literature.

The article is devoted to the use of psycholinguistic methods in sociological research based on the proverbs of the Russian, Yakut and Yukagir peoples. Common linguistic approaches are revealed in the generation of proverb samong different peoples, and some features manifested by different psychological, everyday ways of life, geographical and climaticf eatures of the northern peoples.
