The relevance of this study lies in the exploration of the image of the future as a structural component of self-awareness, fulfilling a regulatory function and determining the characteristics of individual life planning at different age stages. The aim of this article is to identify age-related differences in components of the image of the future among high school students, university students, and working adults. Statistically significant differences were found for the "Openness to Change," "Conservatism," and " Fatalistic Present" scales, while no significant differences were found for locus of control, the "Future" time perspective, and dispositional optimism.
