The relevance of the research in the article is determined by the need to study the process of changing the lexical composition of the youth German language as a result of the penetration of Americanized interculture in Germany through social networks. The purpose of the study is to study the practice of using youth language (Jugend-sprache – JS) in social networks in Germany. The work is devoted to the considera-tion of the features of the lexical composition of the youth German language – socio-lect. We are talking about the phenomena of internationalization and Americanization of youth culture (Jugendkultur) and their corresponding impact on the lexical compo-sition of youth language (Jugendsprache -JS) in Germany. As a result, the possibility and necessity of using the research results in translation practice is identified. It has been established that the youth language can influence the literary German language and colloquial speech, which has been proven as a result of studying the communica-tion practices of young people on social networks. And the constant updating of its vocabulary requires continuous research in this direction.
