The article is devoted to the evaluation of business activity state in agriculture of Zernograd district and to the main problems in this sphere. As a result of agricultural enterprises evaluation, the authors suggest some prospects for development.

The article is devoted to the issue of the development of livestock farming in agricultural enterprises of the Zernograd district of the Rostov region as a promising branch of agriculture. Factors and conditions that have a beneficial effect on the implementation of agricultural activities by enterprises in the region are considered. A study was carried out of the dynamics of changes in the number of animals and their productivity in agricultural enterprises of the Zernograd region. The need and available opportunities for further development of the livestock industry in the region are shown.
