Abstract. The article is devoted to the development of the methods of the development of students' cognitive independence during the computer science studies in pedagogical universities by means of remote technologies: the creation of problem situations by means of the network electronic educational resources; remote group participation in the forums, teleconferences, contests and competitions on the subject; the usage of differentiated and multi-level independent work by means of remote courses.
