The appearance on the market of powerful finite element systems can be considered nonlinear dynamic processes occurring in the structure during its operation. The article is devoted to the application of the method in practical sessions of finite-element modeling of the object vi-brodiagnostica to determine the diagnostic sign for cracks or of structural failure.

At the present time the transition to digital technologies, the continued development of the interface and appearance on the market of powerful finite element codes ANSYS, NASTRAN, Sol-id/Works/COSMOSWorks and etc. allow us not only to expand the range of tasks but also to take a new look at teaching the strength of materials without violating the traditional presentation of the course, but enriching it with speed and ease of obtaining result, physical clearness of the process of teaching and the precision of the result which can not be obtained in the traditional statement of strength of materials
