In a changing environment, the adaptability of an individual's behavior depends on the balance between the need for security and the propensity for risk. The aim of this study was to investigate the structure of the security need among women who are prone to risk. The results showed that the security need structure of most women who are prone to risk is optimal, with a dominant "Need for Security." Significant correlations were found between different types of security needs and indicators of extreme risk-taking behavior.

In today's world, where interaction between people is becoming increasingly complex, the study of interpersonal dependence seems relevant. The aim of this article is to determine the content of the self- image and the prevailing type of relationships with other people for women with a high status of interpersonal dependence. As a result, the identification characteristics of the self-image of women with a high status of interpersonal dependence change in the direction of strengthening the reflexive Self and weakening the communicative Self. The authors revealed the prevailing type of relationships with other people and significant correlations between the indicators.

The study of intercultural communication in psychology is an important issue in the context of the modern globalized world. Research in this area can lead to the development of more effective methods of training and education, improving the quality of international cooperation based on an understanding of psychological characteristics. The purpose of our research is to study intercultural communication from the point of view of the difficulties that arise in its process. The author's questionnaire was used for the study. The study sample consisted of two groups of students from the Petrozavodsk State University: 1 – a group in which there are foreign students (25 people), 2 – a group in which there are no foreign students (14 people). The results showed that the assessment of difficulties in intercultural communication by students who had experience of intercultural communication differed from the assessment of difficulties in intercultural communication by students who did not have such experience.
