The article discusses the possibilities of using experimental tasks in the process of teaching physics, gives examples of experimental tasks that may be used in the process of teaching physics, in particular, in laboratory classes in general physics at the university. The problem of solving tasks is given much attention in the university course of general physics. It serves as a means of forming physical concepts, developing thinking, will and initiative of students, allows for a better understanding and remembering the basic laws of physics, and improves the ability to apply general theoretical patterns to individual specific cases. One of the ways to carry out the connection between theory and practice in teaching natural science subjects is to solve experimental tasks, in particular, in laboratory classes.
