The relevance of the problem is determined by the need to increase the reader's interest in younger students. The purpose of this work is to determine the pedagogical conditions that effectively affect the development of fourth-graders ' reading interest in the process of creating a booktrailer for works of extracurricular reading. The leading methods of research are theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and pedagogical experiment. The main results of the article: the ideas about the reader's interest of younger students are revealed; the stages of creating a booktrailer as a means of developing the reader's interest in fourth graders are described.
