The author describes the example of the correlation analysis for identifying the psychological features of interconnection between individual and psychological characteristics of children and indicators of school adaptation of first-graders. The author concludes that such individual psychological and personality traits as operability, predominance of negative emotions, level of school motivation, self-esteem of children affect the processes of school adaptation.
In comprehensive schools, a huge number of children are studying, who already at the initial stage of education can not cope with the training program and are not able to build interpersonal relationships with their peers. The problem of the difficulties of teaching these children is one of the most urgent and priority psychological and pedagogical problems and one of the reasons for the disadaptation of first-graders to school.
this article discusses the concept of "adaptation" to school and the factors that affect it. The main components that determine the successful adaptation of a first-grader to school are described. The results of a diagnostic study to identify the zone of adaptation of a first-grader to school are presented. Based on the results of the study, recommendations are presented to teachers for the successful course of the adaptation period in first-graders
