The author deals with the issues of cultural development and professional training of future teachers of History and English as a Foreign Language. Preparing students for their future professional activity in the field of education we should bear in mind that studying languages and culture, integrating academic, research and cultural activities in socio-cultural regional environment give a strong impetus to professional growth and cultural development of the graduate.
The article is devoted to the problem of distinguishing between the concepts of "foreigner" and "bilingual" in the context of the current multi-ethnic situation in educational institutions of the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the article systematizes approaches to defining these concepts and their differentiation. The article describes the characteristics of foreign and bilingual students, taking into account their level of Russian language proficiency and their communicative competence.
