Abstract. In the article, the author reveals the importance of drawing in the process of upbringing and teaching preschool children, focusing on the fact that the process of teaching a child at school is largely determined by the types of activities that were chosen in a preschool educational institution. The author of the article paid special attention to how exactly drawing affects the development of the emotional sphere of children, creativity, thinking and other important personal qualities.

The article is devoted to the development of compositional skills in children aged 5-6 years in the process of drawing based on fairy tales. The article examines the pedagogical foundations of the formation of creative abilities, as well as the role of a source of inspiration for fine art, the key stages of work on the landscape, methods and techniques that help develop compositional methods.
