The article deals with the concept of "texts of a new nature", reveals its conceptual structure and distinctive features. Present-day sociocultural educational space is presented on the basis of the research of A. Toffler, D. Bell, M. Castells, M. Prensky, the distinctive features of work with the text in the modern generation of schoolchildren ("Digital natives") are revealed. In the context of GEF primary general education, the specificity of the use of "new nature texts" in the information educational environment for the education of junior schoolchildren is highlighted, some innovative approaches and examples of the successful application of infographics, hypertext, hypermedia, augmented reality are given. The conclusions give the possibilities and prospects for the application of "texts of a new nature" in the educational space of the primary school.
Educational material is the basis of the content of learning a foreign language. The content is specially selected and methodically organized material to be presented and assimilated in the learning process. In the educational process of learning a foreign language, the text is the basis for learning speech activity, it serves as a source of factual and linguistic information. This article describes the criteria for selecting, compiling and adapting an educational text, and compares it with a literary text. The conclusion is confirmed that it is the text that is the source of language and speech material, the means of forming speech skills, the standard sample of a certain type of written speech message used as a basis for building one's own utterance, the source of information.
The article considers the principles of selection of educational texts for classes in Russian as a foreign language and the ways of their linguistic adaptation, necessary to facilitate understanding and adequate perception of texts by foreign students.
