During the twentieth century, the problem of euphemism was widely developed in Europe and America. In Russian philology, the theme of euphemisms throughout the twentieth centurywas banned. Euphemisms were considered only in the historical aspect in connection with the ancient taboos and were analyzed mainly on the Indo-European, Slavic-Baltic or all-Slavonic material. Only in the last decade of the twentieth century in the Russian language was raised the theme of euphemisms. Euphemia is one of the means to create politically correct vocabulary. Political euphemisms have entered the sphere of interest of linguists since the Vietnam War.
This article examines the concept of artistic imagery as part of discourse, the process of decoding it, and analyzes the concept of "Death," euphemized through gradational allusion. It also explores how the space of poetic discourse serves as a field for expressing meaning.
