The article discusses the positive and problematic aspects of the organization of the Eurasian economic Union. The emphasis is on the analysis of the transitional period of integration events.

The paper contains the analysis of foreign trade within the framework of Eurasian Economic Union, which was done by regional integration indexes of UNCTAD and UN methodology. Besides that, trade barriers, which decrease the rate of integrational collaboration and algorithm of foreign trade tariff regulation, are described together with basic points of non-tariff measures of limiting the trade processes inside the integra-tional union.

The article reveals such problems as interaction of customs services of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union when legal entities are brought to administrative responsibility for offenses in the sphere of customs.

The article discusses the prospects for the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union, the role and place of the Republic of Uzbekistan in it, taking into account the new realities caused by the coronovirus pandemic.
