In the article, based on the analysis of sociological surveys conducted in Russia, an assessment of financial literacy level of the population is given. The authors make a comparative analysis of financial behavior models of the country citizens, reveal the main reasons for the low level of financial literacy of the Russian population and the ways of overcoming them.

The article assesses the level of financial literacy of the population in Russia on the basis of the analysis of data from sociological surveys conducted in the online format of Google-forms. At the expense of the survey, a comparative analysis by personal data (gender, age), and their percentage ratio is presented. Also the problematic questions that caused difficulties in passing the test are analyzed, and the most "successful" ones are noted.
