The article presents the analysis of the continuity of preschool and primary general education, the concept of "gender education", the essence of gender competence of junior schoolchildren, describes the levels and criteria of gender education.
The article deals with topical issues of psychological and pedagogical theory and practice related to the implementation of the gender approach in inclusive preschool education. Attention is drawn to the importance of gender education for preschool children with disabilities and their peers with normative development in modern conditions. The results of the study of gender representations of preschoolers with and without speech disorders are presented.
Based on the historical analysis of the problems of studying gender differences and the state of modern society, the reasons for the relevance of gender education of preschoolers are considered in detail. The following features of the management of gender education in a preschool organization are highlighted – the traditions of respectful behavior towards a representative of the opposite sex have been lost in society and culture; there is actually no consideration of gender characteristics in the educational process and teachers ' actions for the early development of sexual identification are not provided for; there is no rigidly differentiated subject matter in preschool education. In terms of content, the management of the process of gender education is a complex process consisting of interrelated goals and tasks that reveal this goal, a deep analysis of the ongoing educational, developmental, training work, planning and organization of the educational process, as well as the choice of optimal methods, forms and means of implementing the pedagogical process and ways of interaction between all its participants, including parents.
