The paper is devoted to the problem of subject translation in a specialized text. The author offers possible and the most difficult f eatures for the translation of a subject and cases of discrepancies with the native language.

The article discusses the linguistic means of expressing imperative in the texts of the business content of the late XVIII century. The author concludes that most often imperative in the texts under consideration is expressed not by the imperative forms of verbs, but by infinitive constructions.

The article highlights the problem of stimulating the interest of 6th grade pupils to the topic "Verb" through the use of historical references concerning the nature of the infinitive, the dynamics of the reflexive verb. A number of tasks are proposed, designed to enrich the knowledge of students about the meaning and forms of the verb, to explain the appearance of grammatical homonymy of the name and infinitive of the verb in Russian.
