In this article, the concepts and essence of integration are presented. The levels, as well as the ways of integration, are considered. In the field of "Natural science subjects", one can consider natural science literacy as a particular manifestation of functional literacy in the study of chemistry, biology and other subjects. Science literacy is an integrative result of learning in the field of natural science disciplines.
One of the main problems of teaching children under the long treatment is low level of cognitive activity. The article presents features of the hospital education process and problems we faced. It also presents possibilities of using digital technologies in the integrated lessons of biology and geography for activation of cognitive activity.
