In the article analyzed the concept of «image of the other». A special attention is given to problems of inter-ethnic relations in the Krasnodar region, also presented results of the empirical research on revealing «the image of another» in the structure of ethnic identity.

The article reviews migratory processes and changes that took place in Togliatti, since the late 1960s, during the period of a mass influx of specialists from all over the Soviet Union for construction the Volzhsky automobile plant and to work in urban industrial enterprises, until the mid – 2010s, when the project “The Fourth Birth of Togliatti” is gradually beginning.
