The article considers the problem of formation of citizenship of young people. Modern social system is un-stable, because it is unstable, changeable attitude toward eternal values, and such values as ideals and faith, be among the last. In these conditions of particular importance is the process of formation among young people of the values and principles necessary for the free development of society.

In the present article examines the trends of extremism prevention among children and youth; it contains definitions "extremism" and "extremist activity" in accordance with the legislation of Russian Federation; revealed propagation path of extremism among childrens and youths, proved the role of the education community and the young people in the prevention of extremism.
