Today, Russia is facing challenges of full modernization, which for her critically coincided with the problem of its integration into the world community in the conditions of globalization is a new phenomenon. There-fore, in the real conditions of the early modernization of society, collectivist – oriented Russian ethnic groups, were in a state of crisis ethnicity, reacting to a perceived threat to their ethnic identity, increasing ethnic tensions and increased intra unity. In the face of rising ethnic tension imbalance in the demographic composition of the republics and inequality in the ethnic groups in the “power structure” lead to the fact that ethnic minorities are becoming increasingly feel oppressed. They need not only in the social, legal and political protection.

The authors discuss the problem of influence of the personal relations with other people on personal representations of Other person as an Enemy. The results of the study prove that respondents, perceiving the Enemy as manipulator, demonstrate the upper levels of adoption of other people, of benevolence to the others; respondents, perceiving the Enemy as the subject with alien cognitions and values, demonstrate the low levels of adoption of other people, of benevolence to the others. Data supported the hypothesis about the distinctions of personal representations of Enemy depending uponmodalities of positive relations to the others and not depending uponethnic identity’s parameters.
