This article attempts to analyze the linguistic and stylistic features of communication in the social network "Vkontakte", which has a great influence on the modern Russian language. The purpose of the study is to identify expressiveness and violations of spelling norms of speech in the texts of correspondence, comments and statuses of this social network. The constant development of technical capabilities and the process of mastering borrowings largely determine the features of network communication and are clearly reflected in speech.

The article considers those aspects of communication in social networks that pose potential threats to the security of users and provoke them to illegal actions. On the example of the AUE movement, the main means of influencing young people are demonstrated.
