The article is devoted to solving problems in the field of investment and investment is vital to economic growth and is closely associated with many aspects of the functioning of economic systems around the world. The necessary factor for sustainable socio-economic development of regions is the high level of investment activity, analyzed by author.

The article deals with the main structural and cyclical factors of slowing down the rate of economic growth in the Russian economy. The priority areas of stimulating state policy are considered.

This article provides a statistical analysis of investments in fixed assets of food production in Russia for the period from 2009–2019. The scientific article presents the dynamics of the structure of investment in fixed assets of the processing food production, as well as the results of the forecast of the investment structure, the types of trend lines with the indication of the coefficient of determination and the interval forecast of the structure of investment in fixed capital of the processing production of food products in Russia.

Currently, in Russia, regulations of various levels regulate the calculation and accounting of depreciation charges, but there is no control over their use. The role of the depreciation fund as a source of reproduction of fixed assets of the enterprise has changed significantly over the past decades. At the same time, the task of updating fixed assets and finding sources of financing for this process has remained one of the main tasks in the economy for many years. The article investigates the causes, conse-quences and possible solutions to the problem of misuse of the depreciation fund.
