Investments are the basis of economic growth and improved living standards. Regarding investment in the region, it is necessary to note the presence of significant imbalances in regional development of the country. There is a big gap with respect to investment activities between the Central Federal District (CFA) and other federal districts. However, even within a single federal district uneven socio-economic development of Russian territories can be traced: only 3-4 regions are successfully developing in the CFA. Thus, the high level of investment attractiveness characterizes the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions thanks to a competent policy on formation of financial measures to increase the investment attractiveness of regions as well as the development of an effective investment strategy.
