In this article we consider issues related to the development of business in the sphere of insurance in venture capital. Each stage of business development is described in detail. The comparative analysis of public and private placements of shares is given.

The needs of the investor are primary. They determine the content of the reports, and in order to form the desired content, an accounting process is necessary.

The article describes the mechanism for attracting financial resources of non-residents by Russian corporations by issuing shares and depositary receipts. The authors define the reasons and conditions for the effectiveness of each of the presented mechanisms. They consider in detail the stages of buying Russian issuers’ shares by a foreign investor. Those situations, when it is advisable to raise capital through depositary receipts, are explained. The authors formulate the definition of a depositary receipt as a special financial instrument. They also give the classification of depositary receipts on a territorial basis. The article provides a detailed description of the subject composition of the procedure for issuing foreign depositary receipts.

The article examines the reasons for the growth of Russian interest in the stock market in 2020: a decrease in quotations on the markets, the volatility of the Russian ruble, a decrease in rates on deposit accounts and the use of mobile applications for investing remotely. The data on the number of individual investment accounts, the turnover of individual investment accounts, and the weighted average interest rates on deposits are analyzed. The possibilities of using mobile applications for investing remotely are studied. Thanks to the popularization of the use of mobile applications, the number of private investors in the Russian Federation is increasing. If a large share of the capital of the stock market participants is invested in domestic companies, this will provide some stability to the Russian securities market. However, the problem of easy access to the stock market for novice investors has been identified. The law on the categorization of private investors, which will limit novice investors from large transactions with risky instruments in the absence of the necessary knowledge, is considered.

The article substantiates the need for interaction between the authorities in the region and the subjects of innovative activity for the growth rate of innovative development of industrial enterprises. The article proves the need to introduce new competitive businesses in various sectors of the economy – both in traditional and newly emerging sectors of specialization of the region, the development of key competencies of the region in the field of scientific and technological developments. It is proved that the inclusion of an innovation strategy in the system of economic, social and environmental strategy of the region should ensure the acceleration of economic growth in the absence of an increasing burden on the environment, the intellectualization of the economy, and the development of human resources.
