Essentially new requirements are imposed to labor in contemporary conditions: readiness of the worker for the process of continuous professional growth, specialization of the worker connected with the develop-ment of several specialties and even professions; professional mobility, readiness of the worker according to labor market requirements to master a new profession and to apprehend changes as a normal mode of contemporary production. The author touches upon the violations of requirements for workers’ professional development.
