The article is devoted to the development of leadership qualities of younger schoolchildren in the framework of the extracurricular activities program "Eaglets of Russia". Various approaches to understanding leadership and organizing extracurricular activities in this area are analyzed. The key areas of the program contributing to the formation of leadership potential have been identified. Empirical data on the impact of the program on the development of leadership skills of younger schoolchildren are presented.
